Improvement Continued
We seen the Podiatrist today. Cheryl's toe , and Charcot Foot are just fine. We also are happy to report her blood pressure today was 125/73, this after working all night. We have succeeded in eliminating her need for blood pressure medication. This primarily because of her diet change, and supplementation. We will however, monitor everyday, but one med eliminated.
Were now more aggressively dealing with her Diabetic condition. Were utilizing supplementation, and a few trace minerals good for Blood Sugar control. We believe we will be successful, primarily because none of her blood sugar control system seems to be broken. Stay tuned, good news to continue Bob & Cheryl

Some Success To Report
We are happy to report, we have successfully succeeded in eliminating Cheryl's dependence on the Blood Pressure pill she was prescribed. We have been very closely monitoring this. Last week she had a reading of 117/68. It's consistently in the 115-120/70-80 range all the time. Therefore, we will continue to monitor each day. Folk's, the body in most cases will respond. Prescription meds simply do not address the root cause of the medical conditions.

Diagnostic Information
We went to the Doctor for follow up, and to obtain results of the Laboratory tests. Overall, we have to be encouraged with results.
Cheryl's Glucose fasting was 135, still high but more important, was her A1C. it was down to 6.4 Still a bit high, but all a direct result of her Diet change. Her HDL up 5 pts to 32.7 TriGlycerites down 62 pts also. Blood Pressure 135/82 at the dortors office, which we knew. Overall cholesterol was 245. A bit high, and also up a little bit from last time. Her insulin down to 8 units/day, also down.
In summary, we are now going to implement , exclusively, more good protein into the diet, only good quality oils, eliminating all junk oils, and a good quality liquid Nutraceutical for all mineral and vitamin supplementation. As always, eliminating all white flour, white cane sugars, and all corn syrups. and watching carbohydrate intake, which is most difficult task. Folk's we simply do not need the amount of carbohydrates we consume. The amount of carbohydrates we require are easily found in the fruit and vegetables, the complex carbohydrates.
More on this later, bye for now. Bob & Cheryl.
Our goal, completely, eliminating blood pressure pill, and her dependency on the insulin shot. Don't worry, we will be monitoring every day, and will post results every several days.

Were Back, And I Apologize
We've been dealing with a medical condition which Cheryl developed, shortly after she returned to work. The condition, which approx 10% of Diabetics sometimes contract, called Charcot Foot. Basically it's where Calcium leaches out of the bones, in diabetics the bones of the lower extremities. Fortunately however, it was isolated in her second joint of the big toe which was amputated. The treatment protocol was 2 weeks of complete bed rest, staying off the foot. The rest is designed to stop the process from continuing, and spreading to additional joints. Were glad to say it worked. We've been constantly monitoring and it still hasn't re-developed. Cheryl is back to work. She goes to the Physician and we will get test results from on her blood work done in the middle part of July. We will see if the change in her dietary habits since contracting Diabetes have been successful in lowering her levels. We will post the results, and also bring everyone up to date on our treatment protocol in our attempt in discontinuing the insulin, and other meds.

Specific Diagnostic Lab Info
Folks, It's been a week since posting any information on Cheryl's JOURNEY. Happy to say she returns to work tomorrow. Becoming more active will indeed help the blood sugar level. Were regularly at 150 first thing in the morning now, but Cheryl is taking 15 units of Insulin once a day. This we will slowly decrease, regularly monitoring. We have a good handle on her diet. We've incorporated only good quality Omega3 cooking oil, a good quality full spectrum liquid Nutraceutical, and 3 additional Minerals to support Blood sugar metabolism. We've incorporated a good quality Omega3 Essential Fatty Acid. Some of this regiment to address some poor lab results. Triglycerides at 335 HGL Cholesterol (Good) only 27.5 We need for these to improve significantly. However her overall Cholesterol at 197 which isn't at all alarming. So, in summary were in high gear now, and hope to post improvements in blood sugar each and every couple weeks, and decrease Insulin dependency. So, bye for now. Bob & Cheryl.

Journey Back On Track
Well Folks, the medical condition Cheryl has is healing and progressing nicely. She anticipates being back to work around the 19Th of March. We can now start concentrating on the Type II Diabetes. To summarize, we will be attacking this in a fourfold manner, at least initially, and determine how we proceed. The process will probably be a 4-5 month JOURNEY. Remember her A1C is 10.7 First, as we have already begun, the diet MUST eliminate all forms of SUGARS. The carbohydrates must be limited to 5-8 oz per meal. We MUST Eliminate the use of all JUNK Oils. Only a premium quality of Olive Oil to prepare foods in will suffice. Secondly, Exercise 2-3 times a day, especially after eating will be introduced, and this can be as simple as walking a mile. Thirdly, introducing a good quality Liquid Nutraceutical Vitamin and Mineral Supplement is Essential. Also ESSENTIAL is a good quality Flaxseed Oil, and a good quality Omega 3 Oil. A good quality supplement which supports the Pancreas, and the blood sugar control system (BSCS). Remember, our cells are reproduced every 90-120 days. As Cheryl's cells are being reproduced, they must have the proper nutritients as do we all, The new cells as produced will again become sensitive to the insulin, whereas they now are actually numb to this very important hormone. LASTLY, monitor the Blood Sugar level very closely each and every day. Utilize a log and write down everything you eat, and do to support how your regiment is working. If your taking Insulin, monitor this closely, as you will become more and more independent of the artificial insulin you may now be taking. Consult your Medical Professional regarding your Insulin and how your adjusting. Folks, this sounds difficult, but if you want to heal yourself and not remain dependent on Insulin pills, or shots, you have NO CHOICE. Goodbye for now, a little in a few days. Bob & Cheryl

Some Detail As Promised
Well. as indicated in previous posts, Cheryl had a slight set back in dealing with her Type II Diabetes. It was unrelated to the Diabetes, but required Surgery on her Big Toe. Actually, we decided on the amputation of the tip of the toe, rather than go thru 6-8 weeks of Intravenous Antibiotics. It appeared the sigmoid bone, a bone on the bottom of the toe became infected, a result of a callus Cheryl has had for quite a few months. Since the bone was infected, there were only two options. As we said, because of all side effects of long term Antibiotics, and no mobility problems with the amputation of the tip of the toe, we elected this alternative. Her toe is healing properly, actually the stitches came out today. However, Cheryl was instructed to stay off the toe as much as possible so it would heal properly. She now has been instructed to start walking around, and we anticipate her returning to work in two weeks.
WE'VE DECIDED TO PROVIDE THIS DETAIL OF HER SET BACK.
Primarily because we have been concentrating on the medical issue, rather than the Diabetes as aggressively as we should be. But first things first. An infection in a bone is potentially life threatening even in the bone if not totally eradicated. So, now we will can concentrate on this nasty disease called Type II Diabetes. The details on the actual condition, lab results, and our course of action.
Folks, with Exercise, diet, and proper supplementation, and essential acids, and good quality oils this Diabetes can be reversed. More to come. Hope we can be help to some of you.

Finally Some Questions Answered
It's been a week now since the last post. Happy to say Cheryl is responding to Surgery which she required. I will be posting more detail on the condition which required the Surgery, and why we choose this alternative. Let me say Modern Medicine has came a long way, and has saved millions of lives. And this is because of research by many fine men and women. We however, still are confronted with Type II Diabetes, and the challenge ahead in controlling this without medications. Folks, the answer to Type II Diabetes in the majority of cases is not found in the Designer Insulin prescribed by our Medical profession. Yes, it lowers the blood sugar level, but these drugs were never designed to cure this disease, ONLY treat the SYMPTOM. Anyway were moving forward. More a little later.

TEMPORARY SET BACK
I apologize folks, for not posting sooner, but we did have a set back. I'll go into a little detail in my next post. but in the mean time, were again moving forward in our JOURNEY in curing ourselves of this nasty disease called TYPE II DIABETES. Thanks for your patience, and visit us regularily as we will have great progress to report over the next 3-4 months. Thanks again, Bob & Cheryl.

THE JOURNEY NOW MOVES FORWARD
We went to the doctor yesterday, Monday, February 11, 2008. We were to get more blood work results to get Cheryl's condition diagnosed properly and put in place a course of action. The result, Cheryl's blood pressure was elevated, 156/94 . It was determined her Potassium level was a little low 3.1 (ideally needs to be 3.5 to 5.5). And of course as we anticipated her C!A was 10.7 YES TYPE II DIABETES. The blood sugar fasting was 229, however down from initially diagnosed 325. This simply a result of her diet change since visiting the ER when we were first made aware of this condition. She lost 2 lbs also as result of proper diet, not starvation, which we will continue, as a cornerstone of managing Type II Diabetes.
The doctors recommendation was to put Cheryl on both blood pressure medication, and insulin pill to manage blood sugar. He also prescribed a Potassium supplement. Since the doctor was aware I was successful in managing my Type II Diabetes and still am without Meds, and Cheryl's condition very similiar to mine, he indicated if we could manage and make progress he would have no problem in delaying Meds. This challenge begins, Folks, It can be done.
We however, are considering the blood pressure medication at least initially. We however are going to monitor very closely over this next week. I believe Cheryl's elevated blood pressure is a result of the White Coat syndrome. We'll see.
More in a couple of days. Folks,

Determining course of action
Getting Problem (Opportunity) Diagnosed
February 7, 2008
We went to our Physician for follow up with the infection which we required assistance. The high blood glucose level requires some blood work to determine the extent of challenge. A follow up visit is scheduled Monday, February 11, 2008. The blood work should be available to determine what course of action to take. The infection required an anti-biotic. Cheryl's body required assistance in fighting this nasty bacterial infection. One additional note, Cheryl has started taking her VIBE.

some strategies, we believe will get this condition under control. After all,if you
read my Passion Page on this web site, we've been down this road before. That time
it was me, now it's Cheryl, and I am even more driven in addressing this challenge,
with her because it's my WIFE.
We want to put into play, what we believe..Were Responsible For Ourselves. Yes
